Job Description

The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization’s accounting operations and ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and strong internal controls. This role leads the accounting team, manages month-end and year-end close processes, and supports strategic financial decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll

  • Manage and coordinate month-end and year-end closing processes

  • Prepare and review financial statements and management reports

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies

  • Develop, document, and maintain accounting policies and procedures

  • Lead, mentor, and evaluate accounting staff

  • Coordinate internal and external audits and support audit requests

  • Monitor balance sheet accounts and perform account reconciliations

  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities

  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and systems

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

  • CPA, CMA, or similar professional certification preferred

  • 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting

  • Experience with accounting systems and ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, QuickBooks)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools

  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills

  • High attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
